Orphaned at a young age when her freedom fighter parents were executed by the Empire, Magdalene was quickly swept up in one of the many waves of Ala Mighan refugees fleeing the city-state. She eventually found herself in Thanalan, where she would spend the next decades living hand-to-mouth.Resources were scarce for those forced to live outside the glittering walls of Ul'dah, and thus Magdalene quickly fell into a life of petty crime. Due to her willingness to occasionally put aside her morals to get what she and her people needed, she was able to secure a couple somewhat powerful connections. These connections eventually led her to the Thaumaturges' Guild, where they pulled a few strings to secure her entrance as a favor for services rendered.Now, in a more stable and hopeful position than ever before, Magdalene has decided to take up the life of an Adventurer.With knowledge, wealth, and power just out of arm's reach, she strives to continue to grow into a force strong enough to defend herself and those like her from those that would take advantage of the downtrodden.
